[RIZER-STUDIO] is the trading name of Henry Clark, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of data protection law, Henry Clark is the data controller. You can contact us about privacy matters at info@rizerstudio.com.
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Simply browsing it doesn't send us any personal data.
The pricing page has an enquiry form. If you choose to use it, the details you enter — your business name, your name, phone number, email address and message — are sent to us by email so we can respond. That delivery is handled on our behalf by FormSubmit, a form-forwarding service. We use what you send only to reply to your enquiry and to discuss any work that follows from it. Nothing entered into the form is stored on this website itself.
If you engage us for a project, we collect the information needed to deliver and invoice that work, which may include:
This information is given to us directly by you, either in the course of the work or through the Studio app.
We never see or hold your card details. Subscription payments are taken by Stripe, and card numbers are entered directly with them — see section 5.
We use this information to deliver the agreed work, build and host your website, run your Studio account and subscription, issue invoices, communicate with you about your project, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We respond to enquiries sent through the pricing page, but we don't use those details for marketing, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We use a small number of service providers to run the business, and each only receives what it needs to do its job:
We may also disclose information where we're required to by law.
We host each client's website and Studio data in the Amazon Web Services region closest to that client, so data normally stays in the region you operate in. For UK and European clients that means hosting in Europe; as we take on clients in the United States and elsewhere, their data is hosted in their own region. If you'd like to know the specific region your site is hosted in, ask us and we'll tell you.
Websites are served through a global content delivery network, which caches pages on servers close to whoever is visiting. This means copies of the public pages of your site may be held in countries outside the region it's hosted in — that is how the site stays fast for visitors wherever they are.
Stripe and FormSubmit are based outside the UK and may process your data in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, whether by us or by these providers, it is protected by the safeguards required under UK data protection law — in Stripe's case, standard contractual clauses and equivalent approved mechanisms.
We keep client and invoicing records for as long as required by UK tax law (currently six years from the end of the relevant tax year), and delete personal data we no longer have a reason to keep after that.
Your website and its content are kept while your subscription is active. If a subscription is cancelled or lapses, the site becomes inactive rather than being deleted, and your data is retained so the site can be restored or exported on request — see section 6 of our Terms of Service. You can ask us to delete it at any point. Enquiries sent through the pricing page are kept as ordinary email correspondence, and deleted once they're no longer needed.
Under UK data protection law, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to our legal obligation to retain financial records for the period above). To do so, email info@rizerstudio.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think your data has been mishandled.
We may update this policy as the business changes, particularly if we add features to this website that collect data. We'll post any changes here.
